Cudweed or Gnaphalium is an annual bush plant with a rich vitamin composition. It is widely used in folk medicine. Being used externally the plant accelerates regenerative processes in tissues and promotes rapid renewal of the mucosa and healing superficial wounds. Dry weed is effectively used to heal wounds, various types of ulcers, and even burns, though in the form of an oily solution. Compresses with Cudweed speed up the recovery processes and promote rapid tissue renewal due to the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.

Сudweed can be used orally in the form of herbal infusion. It has a wide range of properties. The cudweed slows down the heart rate, so heart patients should use it with extreme caution. The herb fights hypertension, pressure surges, pulmonary tuberculosis, and angina pectoris. The composition of cudweed is rich in flavonoids, called gnaphalosides A and B, as well as alkaloids. Its use inside stomach ulcers reduces the focus of inflammation, promotes faster healing of wounds, and reduces pain. Cudweed has a dilating effect on the capillaries of the lungs, therefore it is effective both in controlling pressure and in combating tuberculosis. The application course is 30-40 days to achieve a lasting effect.
