Agaricus is a close relative of the Champignon Mushroom. It has a thick, hollow, dirty-white color cap, and a pretty tall stalk. Agaricus has been used as an ingredient for cooking since long ago. Agaricus became extremely popular in Piedade, a small town, situated 60 km from the São Paulo (southeast of Brazil). Residents of this city cook practically all dishes with Agaricus. About one third of all recipes are with Agaricus. This area has also an extremely low incidence of cancer. In 1967, this observed fact attracted the attention of scientists, and they began to study the beneficial properties of the mushroom. European researchers have proven the mushroom's anticancer activity, as well as its ability to regulate blood sugar. It was also established that the inclusion of Agaricus in the diet normalizes blood pressure and lowers cholesterol.

RECOMMENDED USE:
